Teaching

I have been a passionate and committed educator for decades, with extensive experience teaching statistics and math at both graduate and postgraduate levels, as well as piano and composition.

As a composer and pianist, I have been trained in Italy and the United States, and I have been teaching music for more than 25 years. My music studio is located in San Francisco, it includes a Yamaha concert series C7, recording equipment and composition software.

Contact me for more information about composition or piano lessons. Here are some brief overviews.

Composition

I teach the fundamentals of composition applicable to a wide range of musical styles, including writing for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, and orchestras. I emphasize the value of learning from tradition, incorporating the study of master composers into my teaching approach. Students can begin composing as early as age ten or eleven. Some of my young students have won composition competitions.

Pianoforte

With extensive experience as a soloist and chamber musician, I offer a rich perspective to piano teaching. My background as a composer provides unique insights, complemented by the traditions and lessons imparted by my dear teachers, including Isabella Zielonka, Bob Helps, and Julian White. I welcome students beginning from ages 9-10.
